Carey has been making glass beads in her home studio for 2 years. Her favorite type of glass to create with is Borosilicate. She loves to make irregular and abstract shapes, rather than plain round beads, as she feels that it gives them more of a "personality". Her favorite color is blue, and she uses it a lot in her designs, however, she does also frequently mix cool colors to create outstanding blended bead colors that make designing a true pleasure. Carey has a beautiful daughter named Hailey and she resides in Maryland.
Carey runs a personal blog where she posts information about her beads, process and all the fun things going on in her life. Carey's beads can be purchased directly through her Etsy store.
Kristen is a happily married mother of 3 beautiful children and resides in Connecticut. Meghan, Jack and Matthew make up the initials in her business name MJM Jewelry Designs. For the past 4 years Kristen has designed, from her home studio, one of a kind jewelry using artisan crafted glass beads, fine silver and Swarovski Crystal. She especially loves to design pieces featuring Carey's glass beads as they truly are works of art in themselves!
Kristen also runs a personal blog where she talks about her family and always posts pictures of new jewelry before it goes up for sale in her Etsy store.
I just absolutely can't wait to see what my dear friend Kristen does with these!!! They are amber hollow beads with accents of browns and greens......PERFECT for the fall!
We are two friends, who adore each others work, so we decided to jump into a joint venture and start a blog together featuring Carey's glass beads and Kristen's jewelry made with Carey's beads. We hope you enjoy what you see!
Can't guarantee I'll share these, they may have to be made by custom order. They are FABULOUS!!
